You can withhold your rates from Council.

I protest the Council decision to build the Interim Belongil Access Stabilization

(IBAS — also known as ‘the Belongil rock wall’) and as such I will not be paying BSC rates.

If the decision regarding the rock wall is changed please notify me in writing and I will resume paying rates.

I request a written explanation within 30 days as to the current decision to build the Interim Belongil Access Stabilisation (IBAS also known as ‘the Belongil rock wall’) and how this upholds the 1988 DCP (planned retreat).

If the reply is not satisfactory, I will not pay BSC rates until I am notified in writing that the situation has changed.
